If It Wasn't for the Irish and the Jews at Symphony Space on October 24

ON Saturday, October 24th at 8pm, the WSHSO will play at Symphony Space again, this time in support of Mick’s new album If It Wasn’t for the Irish and the Jews (click on the link to go to the Compass Records page where you can hear some clips).  It’s going to be a great time and you should be there!

If you’re on Facebook, click here and go to the concert’s event page and invite everyone you know (I know I don’t have to ask you to come because I just know that you’re gonna to be there).

The evening will feature an all-star cast of musicians including Mick, Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, a String Quartet featuring Dana Lyn, Liz Hanley, Kerith Spencer-Shapiro, John Roberts, Billy McComiskey, Susan McKeown, Niall O’Leary, Donna Long, Jerry O’Sullivan, and other special guests.

Oh yeah, and did I mention?  We, the Washington Square Harp and Shamrock Orchestra, will be playing as well.

If you want to buy tickets for the 24th, click here!

The concert’s being presented by the Irish Arts Center in association with the Center for Jewish History, NYU Glucksman Ireland House, the American Irish Historical Society, the Consul General of Ireland, the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.  It is being made possible with support from the Henry Rosenberg Foundation, Georganne Aldrich Heller, and Culture Ireland.

We should have some photos up after the event takes place, so stay tuned!
